Ever felt like just giving up? The difference between those that give up and those that persist is directly proportional to the success you achieve in life... By Cindy Winters What do you do when you reach those points in your life where you just want to give up? You have been working 24/7 and you cannot see ANYTHING coming from your efforts. Nobody understands what you are trying to do. They don’t understand your dream or your passion. They try to give you words of encouragement, but they are hollow words. You know these well-meaning people don’t understand and you have the distinct impression that they really think you are crazy. Well guess what? You are reading this and relating to it. That means that you are not alone. Someone else has been where you are now. Actually many of us have been there, many are still there, and most of us go back and forth. You have heard the saying, “it is always darkest before the dawn.” This is the time that many people give up. The sad thing is that they were so close to realizing their dream. They could be within a few hours, days, or a week of having that breakthrough they had been working towards. Failure only happens when you give up. So, never stop doing. Never stop going after you dream. Re-group, re-think, re-energize yourself, but never, ever give up! Balance is key. Go for a walk, do some yoga routines, get some exercise, and get those endorphins (the feel-good chemicals) pumping in your system. Listen to some really good audio talks or watch an up-lifting video. And by all means, join a group of like-minded people. Get a mentor that can help you and push you back up when you are down. Usually, if you can verbalize your situation, instead of keeping it all bottled up inside of yourself, the issue no longer seems as compelling. One day, you will wake up, look around your life and say, “How did this happen?” How did my dream come true? And, when did it happen? That is the strange thing about your dreams. It isn’t like winning the Lotto. Your dreams come true one day at a time. So don’t loose hope. Keep on keeping on and your dreams WILL come true!! The Power of Your MindThis is it! This is the starting point, agree or disagree in reality your mind is really where all begins. In this section we will provide you with insights and links to programs, materials and individuals that, in our experience helped. Without getting too deeply into psychology, the reality is that your mind controls your moods, drives your desires and fuels your fears. If you want to make in roads to the destination you envision you need to first take care of you. How you feel is the make or break point for just about everything. If you feel terrible, if you're worried or afraid you become exhausted and when you're exhausted you can't focus and you can't perform. A poor mental state is just downright dangerous. Seriously, there are some admittedly good forms of stress, however right now we need to concern ourselves with the stresses that lead to sickness and disease. And there is nothing more stressful than financial strife. Positive ThoughtBefore you go any further, stop. Take a deep breath, relax and be grateful for something you already have, something that provides you with happiness or satisfaction. (In my case I thought of my kids) Take a few seconds and do this. Whether you admit this or not you need this right now. Now you have control over how you feel, smile be happy and know all is going to work out. Really. Positive thought is probably the most important element in your ability to recover or to achieve your goals right now. This is regardless of whether you're trying to save your family's standard of living or reach a more secure financial position. You absolutely can't succeed with a negative outlook or defeatest attitude. Much of what is provided here revolves around faith. This is not to say that you need to be religious or participate in any type of religion or secular belief. Faith is not exclusive to religion and often faith in one's self is as important as faith in any religion. So if you're not religious, that's fine. If you are religious a little help from above couldn't hurt. Be happy, be positive. This also includes doing what is necessary to become positive. Take a break for a while from the office rumour mill. Put away jealousy of any type and live and let live. And most importantly, check resentment at the door. Resentment is deadly, and is probably one of the most negative behaviors going. This, I know seems like a lot and isn't meant to minimalize your circumstances or concerns. Fact is you need to focus on what you need to accomplish right now. Not what other people have done or have in comparison to you. Don't waste your focus on these things, your focus and energies are precious they are your greatest resource. Keep them yours and get the things you want, now. Law of AttractionYou may or may not be familiar with this concept. The Law of Attraction has become very popular with the advent of the insanely popular web movie "The Secret". The Law of Attraction has been around for some time now through through the published works and seminars of individuals such as Dr. Joe Vitale , James Ray and Bob Proctor. All three appeared in "The Secret" and continue to educate individuals on the subject. This is an extremely hard nut to crack at first. I personally have always fallen to the scientific in my interests and became interested in it's theory more than anything else and was very skeptical of the value. I am not by any measure a scolar of metaphysics or psychology and I don't expect you to be. However, have an open mind because the concepts associated with the Law of Attraction do indeed help. You might not exactly develop the "Midas touch", but I have to tell you it really does help curb the stressess. So if nothing else, it does help and you never know, anything is possible. So when you first start to look at the Law of Attraction and its use be open to possibility. There are some pretty daunting concepts for us "average" guys and gals to absorb associated with it that border on quantum physics, so here is my layman's interpretation of the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction focuses on your mind, specifically the vibrations or waves of your thoughts or feelings. It suggests that if your thoughts dwell on things you don't like or don't want in your life that more than likely they will continue to remain in your life and potentially remain in your life. Simply, "Like attracts Like". Thoughts of having wealth will aid to manifest that wealth through happy or pleasurable thoughts and visions. Now, The Law of Attraction isn't limited to money, it could be anything you desire, material things, people or relationships. So as you move forward, be open to this, you might be surprised. It really makes you question the validity of "coincidence". I know for one, if I think about it things certainly did go better for me when I was practicing some of the principles associated with The Law of Attraction long before I had ever heard of it.
